Stitching Work by K65K — Terms of Use

Last updated: February 2026

How licensing works

Stitching Work is available free of charge to registered post-production facilities. Access is managed through two types of codes, depending on the film formats being processed.

FREE

Standard 35mm and 65mm formats

All standard perforation formats for both 35mm and 65mm film are free to use with a lab code only. No project code required. No restrictions on production type or commercial use.

PROJECT CODE

Special formats (35mm and 65mm)

Non-standard or special perforation configurations — for both 35mm and 65mm — require a project code. This allows K65K to track format usage and provide technical support for unusual configurations. Available to any production.

K65K ONLY

K65K proprietary formats

K65K proprietary formats (including K65K-specific perforation counts and frame geometries) are strictly reserved for productions shot with K65K camera systems. A project code will only be issued after verification that the material originates from a K65K production.

Access codes

Lab code Required for all use of the software. One code per facility. Free of charge. Obtained through online registration.
Project code Required for special formats and K65K proprietary formats. One code per production. Requested through the app or the project request form.

K65K format restriction

K65K proprietary formats require K65K production verification

When requesting a project code for K65K formats, the lab must confirm that the material was shot with a K65K camera system. K65K reserves the right to verify this information and to revoke access if the material does not originate from a K65K production.

This restriction exists to protect the integrity of K65K's proprietary technology and to ensure correct processing of K65K-specific frame geometries.

Prohibited uses

Unauthorized format use Processing non-K65K material using K65K proprietary format settings.
Code sharing Sharing lab codes or project codes with unauthorized third parties or facilities.
Reverse engineering Decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to extract source code or algorithms from the software.
Redistribution Copying or distributing the software without written authorization from K65K.

Violation of any of these terms will result in revocation of all associated codes and access to the software.

General terms

Stitching Work is licensed, not sold. K65K retains all intellectual property rights over the software, its algorithms, and its associated systems.

K65K reserves the right to revoke any lab code or project code at any time, with or without notice, in case of license violations or at K65K's sole discretion.

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. K65K shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software.

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
